Frances Tiafoe is one of the best young tennis players of the current generation. The American turned pro in the year 2015 and since then has been part of many entertaining matches. He won his first ATP singles title at Delray Beach in 2018, and in 2019, Frances reached his first Grand Slam quarterfinals. After defeating the likes of Kevin Anderson and Grigor Dimitrov, he finally went down against Rafael Nadal at the Australian Open.

Currently ranked world number 27, Tiafoe did well to reach the finals of the Estoril Open. Although he lost to Sebastian Baez, the American was in excellent form over the tournament. The 24-year-old is currently competing in the French Open 2022 and had a great start to his campaign. Tiafoe won his first-round match against Benjamin Bonzi 7-5, 7-5, 7-6 (5).

On a lighter note, the 24-year-old recently shared a funny instance from his hotel room on his Instagram story.

The American locked himself up in the bathroom of his hotel room in a funny video that he shared on his Instagram story. Also, the 24-year-old tried to open the knob which seems to have got struck. While recording with his phone, Tiafoe can be heard saying,
“Not a bad way to start the morning. Go for a shower, locked in the bathroom. Good, Great start to the day.”

However, the American later informed his fans that he successfully came out of the bathroom by posting another story on his Instagram. Notably, later in the day, Tiafoe went on to win his first game in his seventh appearance at Roland Garros and took to his Instagram account to express his happiness and thank his fans.
“Took 7 tries, but finally my first win at Roland Garros. Never thought this day would come. Sick atmosphere out there today. Appreciate you all showing love. See you guys again on Thursday,” he wrote.

After making a great start with a hard-fought victory in the first-round game, the American will look forward to making most of his current outing in Paris.

However, Tiafoe, being the winner of the most recent encounter (2019), will go confident in the game. Also, all the four head-to-head games between the two have been on the hard court.
