

Novak Djokovic is having one of the strangest seasons of his tennis career. Despite being completely fit, the 21-time Grand Slam champion has had to miss numerous big tournaments this year. Despite such disappointing outcomes on the tour, the legendary Serbian has been having fun outside the tennis courts. Recently, he enjoyed some time off with his family and friends.

Notably, he missed the Australian Open and the US Open owing to his vaccination status. He has also skipped some ATP Masters tournaments such as the Sunshine Double and the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati. Although he won the 2022 Wimbledon Championships, ranking points weren’t available at the tournament, which resulted in his fall in the ATP ranking. He has slipped to Number 7 from the top spot at the beginning of the year.
Novak Djokovic performs push-ups on the beach alongside wife Jelena
Recently, the former World Number 1 spent quality time on the beach with his family and friends. In a video shared on social media, Djokovic could be seen performing push-ups with his wife Jelena and his friends. The Serbian tennis legend looked fit as ever while exercising on the beach.

After missing this year’s US Open, Djokovic revealed that he’ll also skip the Davis Cup Final group stage commitments. Serbia will take on Spain later today in a mouth-watering Davis Cup tie. Djokovic will return to action at the Laver Cup. Further, he’ll also play in the ATP 250 Tel Aviv Watergen Open and the ATP 1000 Rolex Paris Masters.

Djokovic’s uncle talks about his nephew’s retirement
Recently, the 21-time Grand Slam champion’s uncle Goran talked about Novak’s retirement. He said, “The ordeal he went through this year in Australia only extended his career. Instead of maybe retiring from tennis in three or four years, his career has been extended for five, or six years. He is resting his body.”
