Despite vaccination rules, the player is gearing up for the US Open and is hopeful that he will play in the hard-court major. The player has recently found a unique way to maintain his physical fitness – learning Brazilian martial art, Capoeira.

Novak Djokovic is learning a new martial art to stay in shape

Novak Djokovic took to his Instagram to share the process of learning the new martial art called Capoeira. It is a Brazilian martial art that includes acrobatics and complex maneuvers, like inverted kicks.

In the video, Djokovic did a cartwheel with his coach’s assistance. Furthermore, he also did some inverted kicks. He stated, “Capoeira training with @mestrepulmao”.

Will Djokovic play at the US Open 2022?

Djokovic is training for the US Open 2022. However, his participation hasn’t been confirmed yet because of his vaccination status. Earlier this year, the player was not allowed to play at the Australian Open 2022 and most of the hard-court season that followed the Grand Slam Down Under due to the same reason.
