Today at the Wimbledon Championships, we saw one of the best matches of this tournament, as Novak Djokovic survived the challenge of the no.10 seed, Jannik Sinner. In today’s quarter-final match, he beat the Italian player in five sets despite going down in the first two sets.
During the last set, he played one of the best shots of the tournament, which was probably the highlight of the match. Also, he had a hilarious reaction after making the incredible shot.

Novak Djokovic made an incredible comeback against Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon Championships 2022
The score was 4-2 and 30-30 in the fifth set when Djokovic played this shot, which brought the entire stadium to its feet. After returning the serve of Sinner, the Italian played a good shot, but the Serb slid on the grass court in typical fashion, to make the incredible shot possible. After making that passing shot, the defending champion was on the ground with arms wide open, as if he was flying. You can watch the video below.

The match was at balance during the first set in today’s quarter-final match between Djokovic and Sinner. However, the world no.13 broke the Serb’s serve the second time in the first set to win it 7-5. After that, the 20-time Grand Slam winner tried his best to win the second set, but Sinner proved to be too powerful for the Serb; he took the second set as well by 6-2.

However, the Serb made a fantastic comeback in the match. In the third set, he played some outstanding tennis without making a lot of unforced errors to win it 6-3. The fourth set also saw some incredible tennis from the former world no.1, as he did not give any chance to Sinner to take the match away in four sets; the Serb won it 6-2.
In the fifth and final set, the Serb showed his tremendous grass-court prowess, as he overpowered Sinner to win it 6-2. After 3 hours and 35 minutes, Djokovic finally won the match and moved to the semi-final of the Wimbledon Championships 2022.
Djokovic reaches the semi-final of the Wimbledon Championships for the 11th time
After winning today’s quarter-final match, Djokovic reached the 11th semi-final of his career at the Wimbledon Championships. Moreover, this win was his 26th consecutive win at the Championships.

In the semi-final, he will face either David Goffin or the Brit Cameron Norrie. If he wins his semi-final match, he will most likely setup a mouthwatering summit clash with his long-time rival, Rafael Nadal.
