The Spaniard lifted his 14th Roland Garros title after prevailing over Casper Ruud in the summit clash.

The incident took place during the Australian Open 2010. Nadal was up against Lukas Lacko in the second round of the tournament. As Nadal was preparing for a return mid-way through the third set, a fan shouted, “Hey Nadal, will you marry me?” Subsequently, the Spaniard raised his hand and laughed at the comment.

The former World Number 1 went on to win the match in straight sets of 6-2, 6-2, 6-2 in just under two hours. However, his campaign was cut-short by Andy Murray in the quarterfinals. The Spaniard had to retire midway through the third set owing to a right knee injury.

The former World Number 1 was troubled by a foot injury during the French Open. He opened up about the extent of his injury during an interview after winning the French Open title. He said, “We can try to make a treatment to try create this feeling in a permanent condition. That’s we are planning to do next week. I don’t know the name of the treatment in English. The idea is to create the impact I have now on the nerve for a long period of time.”
