And when that is done, the little girl gets a kiss from Rafa, which she reciprocates by embracing the Spaniard, much to the joy of the crowd.

Rafa, no doubt, is a delightful company for his younger fans. And sometimes, these little fans have grown up to be his rivals on the court.

Take the biggest example of the incumbent world, no. 7, Carlos Alcaraz Garfia, who idealized the Spanish legend and learned a lot from him when he was young. Now, he has made his dream come true of facing his idol on the opposite side of the net.
