However, after getting knocked out from the Davis Cup, Djokovic is currently enjoying the off-season. In the meantime, he was recently spotted at a basketball game in Belgrade with Vasek Pospisil.

Djokovic extended his support to Crvena Zvezda, a Serbian basketball team competing at EuroLeague. The audience erupted when Djokovic walked into the stadium, chanting Nole’s name.

With Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal absent for the majority of the season, Novak Djokovic has overpowered every opponent. Nevertheless, after Davis Cup 2021, the Serb is enjoying a little sabbatical from the professional game. Recently, Djokovic was seen enjoying a basketball match in Belgrade with a good friend and co-founder of PTPA, Vasek Pospisil.

The match was played between Crvena Zvezda and Barcelona and was a part of EuroLeague. The World No. 1 had gone to support the Serbia-based Crvena Zvezda. However, in a nail-biting encounter, Barcelona won the match by 76-69. When Djokovic entered the stadium, the crowd went crazy and started chanting his name. Nole acknowledged the crowd and even bowed to them to show his love.

Djokovic still uncertain about Australian Open 2022

The 20-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic was last seen in action at the Davis Cup, leading Team Serbia. Unfortunately, Djokovic’s Serbia couldn’t edge past Team Croatia in the semi-finals of the Davis Cup.

Looking ahead to the 2022 season, Novak still hasn’t confirmed if he’ll travel to Melbourne for the Australian Open 2022. His friend and rival, Rafael Nadal, will be making his comeback to professional tennis at the ‘Happy Slam’ after his last match at Washington Open 2021. The race for the 21st Grand Slam between Rafa and Novak will get intense with Federer still out for a significant part of next season.
