The former world no.9 clashed with the French professional on April 11 and what a match it was. Although one would expect Fabio to take an easy win over Arthur, the match was rather cutthroat. Both played in a similar fashion. However, the Italian’s experience and endurance outfoxed the 26-year-old. Fognini won the match by 7-5, 4-6, 6-3.
