Novak Djokovic did not have the start to his clay campaign as he may have liked. He lost his first-round match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, but he did put up a valiant fight!

Regardless of his Monte Carlo experience, he also had some fun with two eminent athlete guests at the tournament- Neymar Jr and Marco Verratti. Both Neymar and Marco are professional football players and some of the bests in the world right now. The 20-time Grand Slam champion engaged in a short round of “‘keepie-uppies’ with the duo.

The trio seemed to be enjoying themselves thoroughly amidst a backdrop of majestic mountains and a sea of people trying to get a glimpse of so many sporting greats in one place!

Novak Djokovic is also quite a skillful football player

Ahead of his first match since the Dubai Tennis Championships, Novak Djokovic collaborated with other legends of another sport. Neymar is one of the most well-known players in the world, having scored 71 goals for Brazil while Verratti is regarded as one of Europe’s most skilled and tenacious midfielders.

Neymar and Verratti are two of the most well-known players in French football’s premier level Ligue 1 team, Paris Saint-Germain, situated in Paris, has won seven of the last nine league titles with Neymar and Verratti guiding their ascension to one of Europe’s elite teams.

As a result, things have been looking up for the Serb.

Melo, who is a wild card entrant to the tournament is looking for an attempt at his 10th Masters title, Zverev is looking to win the only clay-court Masters 1000 event he hasn’t won yet, and meanwhile, Djokovic, who is a four-time finalist at Monte-Carlo, was looking to win 86th tour-level title!
