WATCH: Roger Federer Makes a Special Appearance at a Squash Event

Roger Federer has been such a star that his mere presence at any event is enough to excite fans. Be it tennis, badminton, football or squash, you name any sport and there will be fans of the Swiss Maestro. It is not just because of his accomplishments but his gentle nature too that makes him a renowned public figure.

Recently, the 39-year-old shocked the fans once again. He decided to make a special appearance at the PSA (Professional Squash Association) Tour Challenger Tour Finals. As the finals were taking place in his hometown Switzerland, it became convenient for Federer to watch it live.

The fans were excited about Federer to such a level that they almost forgot about the match. The official handle of the PSA Challenger Tour also tweeted a video showing Federer enjoying the sport.

It is not only fans that wanted to see the 20-tme Grand Slam winner but also other squash players. Welsh Squash player Emyr Evans seemed quite jealous that he didnā€™t get a chance to meet Federer. However, he said Federer could meet him anytime when he would be in Wales.

ā€œI AM SO JEALOUS! Anytime youā€™re in Wales Roger Federer, hit me up,ā€ tweeted Evans.

Pakistani Squash player Noorena Shams appeared as if she didnā€™t care about the finalist Cindy Merlo but was thinking more about the fact that Federer was watching her.

ā€œOh wow Cindy Merlo, you were watched by him,ā€ wrote a shocked Shams on Twitter.

It is quite evident what Federer means to the entire sports fraternity. The World champion is all ready to make a comeback on the court at the Australian Open 2021. Fans hope to see him in his best form once again and expect him to lift his 21st Grand Slam title in Melbourne.
