A few days ago, Swiss tennis star Roger Federer shared a post where he collaborated with famous American designer Ronnie Fieg to design his next On shoes. Now, he shared the video of his latest shoes in a new commercial video.

In the video, Federer talked about starting his journey from a ball kid to becoming an inspiration for many tennis players around the world. Moreover, he talked about watching basketball in the 90s, which inspired him to launch these new shoes called THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid.

The latest commercial video for On shoes was posted on Instagram by the 20-time Grand Slam winner. In the caption, he wrote, “Once a ballkid, always a ballkid at heart. I’ve always been inspired by the 90s. I grew up loving basketball, watching late night Penny and Shaq in Orlando. I’m excited to be launching these today: THE ROGER Clubhouse Mid.“

Additionally, he also said some inspirational words in the video. “When I first started as a ball kid, I learned that genius is not replicable. Inspiration though, it’s contagious,” the Swiss player said.

Despite Not Playing for 13 Months, Roger Federer Becomes the Highest-Paid Tennis Player for 17th Consecutive Year

“I learned that you can never be bigger than the game, but you can always make the game as big as your dreams,” he further said. 

It is worth noting that Federer made a deal with the Swiss footwear company On in 2019. He first got to know about the shoes from his wife, Mirka, and then he saw the shoes on the streets of Zurich. Hence he tried the shoes and felt really comfortable. Moreover, Federer now owns a small portion of the Swiss-based company.

Federer will debut those shoes in the Laver Cup 2022

Recently, Federer shared a video on his Instagram account where we saw him working hard on the tennis court. Notably, he will play at the Laver Cup in September, which is less than one month away now. Safe to say, at the Laver Cup we will get to see Federer and his new shoes.

After missing more than a year due to knee surgery, Federer will finally make his comeback on the tour. Moreover, we will get to see Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal in action together for the first time in Team Europe.

Last year, the Swiss player did not play, but he was there to cheer his fellow European teammates. Notably, this will be the fifth edition of the Laver Cup, which started in 2017. On all of those occasions, Team Europe took home the trophy, as they are looking to do the same this year as well. The tournament will take place in London on 23rd September.
