Italian tennis star, Jannik Sinner, has caught all the spotlight this season. He clinched the biggest victory of his career earlier this year when he won the Australian Open. The 22-year-old defeated Daniil Medvedev in the summit clash to win the title Down Under. With Sinner’s resounding success, there has also been much attention on his family. Sinner has an elder brother, Marc, and it came to light that he is adopted. Recently, Sinner lifted the lid on his relationship with his adopted brother.

Jannik Sinner makes a heartfelt revelation

Last week, Jannik Sinner was in Rotterdam to play in the ATP 500 ABN AMRO Open. Carrying his good form, Sinner captured the title there, defeating Alex de Minaur in straight sets. Further, he was involved in an interview with Vanity Fair, where he talked about his brother.

Sinner said, “At two and a half years old I started skiing because I saw him on the slopes. My brother was my first best friend, he was always sincere and direct. Today we don’t call each other often, but we are close in an incredible way. He always compliments me, even when I lose.”

The reigning Australian Open champion came from a humble background. Both his parents were working to earn a livelihood. Amid this, Sinner had the support of his elder brother. The latter once described the calm nature of Sinner.
