In a recent revelation, Rafael Nadal shared his withdrawal from the Australian Open after a recent MRI revealed bad news. “I have micro tear on a muscle, not in the same part where I had the injury and that’s good news,” he wrote in an Instagram caption. Not yet ready for the brutal five-game sets that the Grand Slam will call for, Nadal is “flying back to Spain to see my doctor, get some treatment and rest.”

As comments began to pour in, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafa’s sister, Maribel, also extended their heartfelt support to the Spanish champion.
