Federer flew to New York from Switzerland for co-hosting the 2023 Met Gala. For a Federer fan, the grand event turned out to be the reason he got to meet his idol and train with him. In his social media post, the fan got emotional and expressed his love, respect, and admiration for Federer.

The fan wrote, “Dreams come true!!! Thank you Roger Federer for such an amazing moment.” He went on to state, “You are my inspiration and biggest role model.” The fan also posted an image of Federer and himself posing on a New York tennis court with rackets in their hands.

Federer never fails to inspire

Right now, Federer’s focus is likely to be firmly on co-chairing the 2023 Met Gala as smoothly as possible. However, he won’t be too overwhelmed. Since its establishment in 2003, it has relentlessly strived to increase the accessibility of education and sports for disadvantaged children around the world. He has also contributed to relief efforts in the wake of natural disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake.
