Standing 321 metres high on a man made island, the majestic Burj Al Arab is without doubt the most recognizable hotel in the world. The hotel’s helipad, which is situated 211 metres high covers a surface area of 415 square metres. Roger Federer is the reigning champion of the Dubai Duty Free Men’s Open and is making his third appearance in the tournament. For Agassi this is his first time to appear in the ATP tournament where he has already progressed to the second round having beaten Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic. Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer gave sleepless nights to many top players in his career. When he arrived at the scene, Andre Agassi was a big name already. He also had a decent record against Federer when a match he played against Federer changed everything.
It happened in the year-end final where Federer defeated Agassi who did very well in his campaign to reach the final. Darren Cahill used to work as the coach with Agassi back then. In a recent podcast, he revealed how the Punisher reacted after losing to Federer in the finals.

When Roger Federer demolished Andre Agassi
Andre Agassi lost the very first match of the round-robin in the year-end finals against Federer. The Swiss tennis star eased past others as well and made his place in the final. On the other hand, Agassi had to fight hard and win all his matches to secure the final berth.

While the American went absolutely confident against Federer, the Swiss maestro was too good for him that day. Recalling what happened that day, Darren Cahill said in the Apple podcast, “He went in that final against Roger best of five pretty confident. Andre lost. Absolutely got thumped by Federer. I couldn’t say anything. It was one of the best displays of tennis.”
Further, Cahill revealed the conversation he had with Agassi inside the locker room. ” So I walked into the locker room afterward and there was a puddle of sweat underneath him and I just said mate Roger was too good. He stood up laughing and said, what the hell was that? I said he was good. I have never seen tennis played like that before.”
He further added, “This guy is going to change the way tennis is played, so he saw and felt it before Roger sort of became Roger.”
Federer truly changed the way tennis is played. He ended up becoming one of the greatest tennis players of all time.

We might see Federer back in the Wimbledon Championship
Federer fans are still not over the heartbreaking retirement of the Swiss legend. Federer last played a doubles match alongside Rafael Nadal at the Laver cup which ended up being his last professional tennis match. Ever since Federer fans are eagerly waiting to see their favorite superstar back in tennis.

Although it’s sure now that the legend is not going to pick up the racket again, he might be picking up the mike at the Wimbledon Championships. As per reports, Federer is in talks with BBC for a broadcasting role. Although nothing is confirmed as of now but the fans are eager to see Federer back in any capacity possible.
