The news of the incarceration of German tennis legend Boris Becker undoubtedly shocked the world. The player faced bankruptcy charges and the British court sentenced him to serve jail time. The former six-time grand slam champion is right now serving his time.

John Lloyd former tennis player and ex-husband of tennis star Chris Evert discussed the shock over Becker’s sentencing and reminisced about the time he had visited him.
John Lloyd on Boris Becker’s sentencing
The German player Boris Becker got sentenced for tax evasion for 30 months and John Lloyd talked about it. The British player could not believe the news and said, “It’s an absolute shocker”.
He narrated the incident where the player had helped him. He said, “He gave me his condo in Palm Springs when my family came over for my daughter’s wedding.”
Furthermore, he said, “I never talked to him about this side of things. At this age, all we talk about is injuries.” He regretted not being in his inner circle of Becker so that he could ask him about it. He said, “I wish I had been close enough to ask, ‘What the hell’s going on, Boris?'”

Novak Djokovic showed remorse for Boris Becker
Apart from being a six-time grand slam champion, Boris Becker gained a name for himself for coaching tennis legend, Novak Djokovic. The Serb too showed his remorse over the sentencing of his former coach and stated that he stays in touch with his family.

Djokovic won the Wimbledon winning his 21st grand slam title. However, his wish of equalizing his count of grand slam titles to that of his arch-rival Rafael Nadal does not seem to be coming true.
