It was the Wimbledon Championships earlier this year. Nick Kyrgios had entered the third round of the tournament and was up against the fourth seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas. The match lived up to its hype as the two played one of the most pulsating matches of the tournament. In the end, it was the Australian who came out on top. Kyrgios went on to reach the final before losing out to Novak Djokovic in the summit clash.

The match between Tsitsipas and Kyrgios involved many heated moments. Both of them felt that their opponent should have been defaulted. In the end, the two escaped with fines for their actions. Recently, Tsitsipas invited Kyrgios for a rematch.
Nick Kyrgios agrees to play a ‘revenge’ match against Stefanos Tsitsipas
The Australian tennis star took to Instagram to accept Tsitsipas’ challenge. He said, “DONE. Let’s get this REVENGE MATCH GOING…. When and where and how much $$$$$”
Earlier, Tsitsipas, in a video on Instagram, had invited Kyrgios for a rematch. However, he had one condition for him: that it would be all play and no talk this time around.

After their match at Wimbledon, Tsitsipas received a $10,000 fine while Kyrgios received a penalty of $4,000. Talking about the match, Kyrgios said, “I did nothing towards Stefanos today that was disrespectful. I was not drilling him with balls. To come in here and say I bullied him, that’s just soft.”

Meanwhile, Tsitsipas said, “It’s constant bullying. He was probably a bully at school. I don’t like bullies. He has a very evil side to him.”

Tsitsipas’ Laver Cup campaign
The Greece tennis star had a mixed campaign at this year’s Laver Cup. On the inaugural day of the tournament, he defeated Diego Schwartzman in straight sets to hand his team 1 point.

However, he lost a crucial match against Frances Tiafoe on the final day of the tournament, which proved to be decisive. It gave Team World 3 points as they won their maiden Laver Cup title.
