American professional tennis player Frances Tiafoe earned a big name after his recent run at the Vienna Open 2021. The World No.38 player stunned some quite big players, including Stefanos Tsitsipas, Jannik Sinner, and Diego Schwartzman to reach the finals of the tournament. Even though Alexander Zverev defeated him in the finals, the American led a great campaign.

Broomfield made her debut on the WTA Tour at the Coupe Banque Nationale in 2014 along with her partner, Maria Patrascu. She entered the tournament as a wildcard player in the doubles category. Soon after this, she hit a world doubles rank of 467, which is the highest she has got in the WTA rankings so far in her career.

How did Frances Tiafoe and Ayan Broomfield meet?

Interestingly, Tiafoe first met Broomfield through a common friend and another tennis player, Vickie Duval. It was Duval who acted as a catalyst between them, and later, Tiafoe started talking to Broomfield online by first sliding into her Instagram DMs. All this happened during the time of the US Open 2015.

After meeting Broomfield’s family, Tiafoe started dating the Canadian player. However, the two kept it a secret before finally revealing their relationship status in 2018. Since then, the two have been dating each other and one often watches Broomfield during Tiafoe’s matches in order to extend her support to her boyfriend.

“It’s good that you can relate. You don’t feel like she’s so foreign to what you’re doing. She fits right in,” said Tiafoe after Broomfield once came to support her at the Rogers Cup.

On Broomfield’s recent birthday, Tiafoe expressed his desire to marry her. After dating for so long, it won’t be a surprise for fans if the two tie the knot really soon.
