Taylor Fritz is an American professional tennis player currently ranking at 20 on the ATP list. Youngest of all three siblings, Taylor is 24 years old and son to Guy Henry Fritz and Kathy May Fritz. Guy and Kathy both have a tennis background. Guy recently earned the title of US Olympic development coach of the year 2016, and Kathy was a top 10 player.

Taylor married Raquel Pedraza at a very young age of 18 in the year 2016. Raquel Pedraza herself is an emerging tennis professional and has taken part in a variety of events.

Although Raquel is known for being the wife of Taylor, there is more to her. Raquel is of American nationality; however, she holds a Spanish background as well, which she inherited from her father.

Currently, 24-year-old Raquel was born on 28th January in Fountain Valley, California. Although she initially went to a Christian School, she later opted for homeschooling to spare time and devote herself to tennis.

Early in her childhood, she chose to focus on tennis over her other talents like dancing, singing, etc. Raquel started playing at the young age of 5.

Taylor Fritz and Raquel Pedraza’s Marriage

Taylor Fritz proposed to Raquel Pedraza in front of the Eiffel tower in Paris, France in 2016. During an interview at Wimbledon Fritz said, “In every aspect of my life… I have a lot more responsibilities than a lot of people my age. Of course, going to school and going to college would be a lot of fun. But I would never trade what I have here for that.” 

They eventually got married in Rancho Santa Fe, California, on July 7th, 2016. They opted for a traditional wedding officiated by the village community Presbyterian Church.

The couple at 19 welcomed their firstborn in January 2017 and named him Jordan. Following this, Raquel took a break from tennis to take care of their child.

“Nothing’s changed since I became a father. My wife Raquel has really stepped up and she’s just doing an incredible job, because my dream is to just be the best tennis player I can possibly be… It’s really amazing.” Fritz said.

The couple parted ways in December 2019 after an almost a three-year relationship and two years together in parenthood.
