Another moment of Daniil Medvedev indulging in a heated argument with the umpire! During the intense showdown against Sebastian Korda in Madrid, the Russian lost his calm under pressure. The American, who started dominating against Medvedev right from the start of the match, managed to secure the first set, placing him in a struggling situation.

Besides the intense pressure amid the ongoing showdown, dark clouds added another challenge, wasting no time in filling the arena with rain showers. Medvedev, who didn’t seem to be coping well enough with the sudden change in weather, reached out to the chair umpire to lash out in frustration.

“You are fine under an umbrella, we aren’t,” the Russian said, poking the chair umpire with a hidden urge to make a call. The umpire, addressing the heated curiosity of Medvedev, replied, “I don’t make the decision, they do.”

However, despite the rains acting as a barrier for his dominance to be unleashed, the Russian still managed to get it out. Securing the second set in his name, Medvedev not only reclaimed control but also managed to emerge victorious with a final scoreline of 5-7, 7-6, 6-3.

Now that he finds himself in the top 16, it still remains to be seen what challenges wait for him, moving ahead in the clay court tournament.

This wasn’t the first in the ongoing tournament when Daniil Medvedev lost his cool. In his previous showdown against Matteo Arnaldi, the tennis star seemed to be happy enough after securing a win. Raising a positive gesture towards the fans, the tennis star started to throw his towels towards an area in the stands where the young fans waited to be attended.

During his act of goodwill, a elder fan hopped on to grab one of his towels, to which the tennis star reacted fiercely. Forgetting about extending his towels, Medvedev stopped and continuously stared at him with anger in his eyes. Although he moved on from his rage and continued to grace the young fans, his action was still enough to captivate the attention of fans.
