McEnroe is also sitting at the top when it comes to combined total titles in the Open Era (Singles- 77 & Doubles- 78). His singles match record of 82-3 in 1984 marks the best singles season win rate of the Open Era. His achievements on the court have put him on the list of one of the greatest tennis players of all time. But just like on the court, his numbers off the court are jaw-dropping.

John McEnroe is set to sell one of his most prestigious mansion

The former number one’s mansion at the exclusive Beresford building was built by the architect, Emery Roth in 1929. The building characterized by its two octagonal towers is an Upper West Side landmark that has attracted several famous personalities for nearly 100 years. The building is also known for its white-glove services, attentive management, and fitness center.

Recently, it has been combined with a neighboring unit to make a large corner residence. As per reports the whole property of the American former pro tennis tennis player is set to be sold at a staggering $9.75 M. The mansion has some exquisite facilities including wonderful views of the lush greenery of Central Park, grand living spaces, a central gallery, a library, a large kitchen area, and many more.

McEnroe’s achievements off the court

John McEnroe’s net worth as of 2023 is approximately around $100 M as per several reports. But during his time as a professional tennis player, he had only managed to earn more than $ 12.5 M as prize money. Most of his earnings came through endorsements and sponsorship deals. He has endorsements with Dunlop, HEAD, Sergio Tacchini, Nike, Penn Solinco, and Gold Coast. Although, his deal with Dunlop ended after his retirement. But he has managed to get quite a significant amount through those deals.

Previously he had bought a Ferrari 400i, which he later sold at an auction in 2015. McEnroe has several properties in Malibu with his wife. In 2013 he acquired a ranch-style home for almost $3.3 M. Then, he again purchased an oceanfront residence in Malibu’s exclusive Paradise Cove. for nearly $21 M in 2015. Reportedly, the couple owns around $50 M worth of real estate in LA.
