Whopping 13-Minute Interruption as Novak Djokovic’s Typical Habit Turns Andrey Rublev Helpless at Paris Masters 2023

Rolex Paris Masters is making the headlines constantly in almost every matchday right now. And it is mostly because of the world number 1 Novak Djokovic. The Serbian tennis star was recently involved in a controversy where he was seen consuming some pills during a mid-match break in the second round. His medical break truly turned out to be a topic of interest because, as he won the match after the break.

Something similar happened today when he took another medical time-out while playing against Andrey Rublev. This did not sit right with both his opponent and fans.

Novak Djokovic extends his time-out, annoying everyone

Djokovic lost the first set to Rublev and won the second set after a tiebreaker. However, after that, he took a bathroom break and when he came back, he took a medical time-out to sort out an issue in his back.

It was reported that he took the break because he was having back and leg issues.

The thing with the break was that it seemed to be never-ending. This annoyed a lot of people on the internet as they wanted the third set to begin soon. Also, fans have long had an issue with Djokovic taking a break because whenever he does that, he comes back stronger and wins it all.

The whole process of the bathroom break and the MTO took around 13 minutes, which did not sit right even with his opponent.

It can be seen in the picture above that he seems pretty annoyed as the lengthy break taken by the world No.1 did not seem to end.

Along with these posts from tennis pages, a lot of fans were also annoyed. They even picked on the fact that this is a typical Djokovic trick that he pulls off just so he can win. Here is what they had to say.

One of the fans mentioned that Djokovic makes him sick just because he has a pattern of taking breaks to spoil the game of their opponent. They also commented on the fact that he does so to frustrate the opponent by making them wait for him. A fan also wrote that this is his favorite trick to pull, and no one does it better than him.

One of the fans also wrote that taking a break means that he will win the next set rather easily because that is what he always does.
