During his recent appearance on a podcast show, the Hall of Famer was asked if he had ever suffered from lateral epicondylitis, which is also known as tennis elbow. The show host, Jason Bateman, asked, “Did you ever get tennis elbow?”
In his response, the former tennis player revealed that he had faced issues with his elbow, but they weren’t that serious. McEnroe said, “Generally speaking, I had issues at times with the elbow, but never real bad”.
In light of his participation in golf, Bateman also asked the former tennis ace if he had also experienced a “golf elbow”. The 7-time singles Grand Slam champion candidly answered, “I’ve not had golf elbow; I just have, ‘Why am I playing this dumb a*s game sometimes?'”
Even though McEnroe had doubts about his golf skills, his friend and show host, Will Arnett gave him high marks for the same.
