Nick Kyrgios is one of the boldest characters on tour while also being one of the most polarizing figures. Due to his explosive nature, the Aussie usually has to face disciplinary actions from ATP.

Recently, the 27-year-old appeared on a podcast and answered various questions regarding his career and life. While they took up fan queries, there was one very interesting yet funny question awaiting Kyrgios.

What happens to all the fines that Nick Kyrgios pays?

Being the kind of player he is, Kyrgios keeps landing himself in trouble due to his behavior on-court. During his career, the 27-year-old has paid a fair sum of money as fines imposed by ATP on him.

While a fan wondered about the money that he must have lost by now in fines, the Aussie replied that all that money goes to charity.

“Well, all the fines that I get fined goes to charity. So that’s fine,” he said.

Further, in a funny way, he wondered why ATP officials keep telling him about it.

“So every time that we get fined, they are like it is going to charity. I am like, why are you telling me that?” he added.

People might hate him or love him, but he surely is an entertainer, and it’s always exciting to see him in action.

Kyrgios gave an uncharacteristically calm and composed fourth round performance

Kyrgios has secured the quarterfinal berth at the ongoing Wimbledon Championships 2022. Playing against Brandon Nakashima of the United States, the 27-year-old recovered after a slow start and won in five sets.

This will be the Aussie’s first Grand Slam quarterfinal appearance in seven years. Although his bad-tempered victory against Stefanos Tsitsipas is still the talking point among fans and the media, the 27-year-old was at his best of behavior against Nakashima.
