Prominent players like Serena Williams, Chris Eubanks and many others have always kept their religion as a priority and it has helped them progress further. Not only does it help you have a clear state of mind but also helps you to clear all the negative thoughts.
In a recent podcast, Stefanos Tsitsipas was asked about the same thing. He revealed his learning and how in difficult situations, it has helped him progress further. The Greek player also talked about a ‘Guru’ he takes inspiration from.

Stefanos Tsitsipas considers Dalai Lama as his ‘Guru’
In the recent podcast, Stefanos gave insight into many things, about his personal and professional life and so on. When asked about his opinion on religion, he said that he feels that religion has a good side to it. However, he also acknowledged that it has also been a matter of controversy in recent times.
Talking about his Guru, he said that he loves the teachings of the Dalai Lama as he is a man of good thoughts and principles. The Greek player also told that he has taught him to be appreciative of the little things and be grateful for whatever you have.
“I feel like religion has a good side to it. Sometimes, religion has been also very controversial in the past and in history. But I do enjoy the teachings of the Dalai Lama a lot. I think he’s a person who has good ideas about life and principles, too. He is someone that has taught me how to slow down, and how to be appreciative and thankful for the little things that add meaning to my life.” revealed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the podcast.
However, at the moment, it seems that the learnings of his Guru have been able to help him land his hands on silverware.

Tsitsipas wins his first title in 2023
After a rather disappointing start to the season, Stefanos Tsitsipas finally won his first title of the season. After a straight-set victory against Alex de Minaur, the Greek player went on to life the Los Cabos Open in style. This victory will give him much-needed confidence going into the US Open. Before this, the only time Stefanos managed to make his way to the finals was at the Australian Open and the Barcelona Open. However, he lost on both occasions.
After a disappointing display at Wimbledon which saw him lose to Chris Eubanks in the round of 16, Tsitsipas would be willing to silence the critics at the upcoming tournament.
