‘Would Just Stay Home’ – Venus Williams Gives Bizarre Explanation to an Excited Fan Question About Outer Space

Venus Williams is nearing the final years of a glorious career spanning two decades. The American has not been able to match the dominance of her own recently, but had her moments on the WTA Tour. As she turns 42, Williams has undoubtedly carved a legacy of her own.

Williams keeps her fans updated with activity on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter. Venus is also known for her stylish outfits over the years, with her stunning sister Serena.

Venus responds to questions on Insta Live

As part of a live session on Instagram, Venus spent some time responding to questions from her fans. One such question from a fan read, “If a seat became available on a space tourist trip tomorrow would you go?”

Venus hilariously responded saying, ” Not only I would not go on this trip. If the world was ending, I would just stay home go on with it. Just because my name is Venus, doesn’t mean I want to be in outer space.”

Venus Williams has a message for young fans

The 41-year-old is a role model in Compton, California, helping youngsters reach the highest level of the sport. She also had a sweet message for youngsters growing in tennis. She says, “Stay in the moment and even when you’re in these situations you don’t have to always do something fancy and focus on the big targets, hit those crosscourts, look for shortballs, stay aggressive.”

“Just think about how much fun you’re having,” she added. Williams’ sisters were trained by father Richard Williams and iconic coach Rick Macci. They went on to meet each other in the Grand Slam finals, while also representing USA at the Olympics in singles and doubles.
