Roger Federer and Mercedes have shared a long and holistic partnership for years. Since the inception of their wholesome relationship in 2008, the Swiss Maestro has been the brand ambassador of the luxury car brand. And now Federer is once again showing off the 2021 electric edition of Mercedes EQS which he promoted during the Laver Cup that year.

Federer has expressed his love for driving as well as the luxury brand on multiple occasions. Once again, as she promotes a new navigation app, he chose Mercedes to navigate the roads.

The Swiss Maestro is free from his on-court endeavors since his retirement. So, it definitely is time to hit the roads. This time, he chose the 2021 electric card edition of Mercedes EQS worth $102,000 to hit the roads.

Roger Federer took to his Instagram to promote the new navigational application, Waze. It is free-social traffic, navigation, and gas app that facilitates commuters driving their cars to navigate their route more efficiently. It takes real-time road updates from drivers and consequently, helps other drivers hitting the roads.

To promote the navigation app, Federer chose the 2021 Mercedes electric edition of the car. After sitting in the car, the Federer-modified AI voice stated, “I am feeling pumped for this journey. Ready physically and mentally!” With a hearty laugh, the Swiss Maestro plays along and states, “Ok, Roger, you got it. Let’s do this!”

That year, after getting injured at Wimbledon, the player missed out on the Laver Cup. However, the brand promoted its electric car by assisting players during the Laver Cup.

Besides that, Mercedes paid the Swiss Maestro a grand tribute last year after his retirement.

A grand farewell gift from Mercedes to the Swiss Maestro 

Roger Federer received a lot of farewell wishes after his retirement last year. The long-term partner brand of Roger Federer, however, added a twist to their farewell wish.

Mercedes launched ‘The Neon Legacy’ project with Roger Federer. Exclusive Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE in neon yellow color, depicting a tennis ball, was auctioned. It also had Federer’s personal signet on it. The funds collected from the auction will be used to refurbish a tennis court in London.
