Roger Federer has been one of the greatest players tennis has ever seen. The Swiss maestro has graced the sport for over 20 years now. During his illustrious career, Federer has gone on to win 20 Grand Slam titles apart from numerous other trophies. Over the years, he has enthralled tennis fans with his audacious displays on the tennis court.

Recently, Federer made an appearance at Wimbledon on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of the Centre Court. The former World Number 1 looked dapper in an all-black outfit. A video has now surfaced on the internet showing Federer trying the Dutch language.

Roger Federer tries the Dutch language
During an interview, the Swiss maestro was asked to utter the famous Dutch word, which meant ‘good evening’ in English. Federer did it gracefully and was all smiles after uttering that word. Subsequently, the interviewer expressed his awe at Federer, saying, “Yes! He did it.”

On the tennis front, Federer has been away from competitive action for over a year. He last played at the Wimbledon Championships in the previous season. After his quarterfinal loss against Hubert Hurkacz, Federer suffered a knee injury that has kept him out of action since.

As a result of his lengthy injury layoff, Federer is set to move out of the ATP rankings after Wimbledon. The Swiss legend will make a comeback at the Laver Cup and the Swiss Indoors later this year, as announced by him.

Novak Djokovic heaps praise on Federer
Djokovic was alongside Federer during Centre Court’s centenary celebrations. Praising Federer for his tennis exploits, Djokovic said, “I told him he’s loved by so many people, that he’s been greeted very nicely, and that he needs to come back so we can play at least one more time.”
