‘You Can Fake the Numbers All You Want but We Know the Truth’- Novak Djokovic’s Fans Refuse to Accept Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal as They Ascend the ATP Rankings Throne in Style

Carlos Alcaraz Garfia, the Spanish teenage sensation, has fulfilled one of the biggest dreams of any tennis player, securing the top rank on the ATP chart. His delight doubled after Rafael Nadal clinched the no.2 ranking, making it the first time two Spaniards have occupied the first two sport in world rankings. However, it was not a joyous occasion for Novak Djokovic fans who feel wronged by the ranking system of ATP.

They took to Twitter to express their discontent with the present rankings and also condemned ATP for its faulty system. Djokovic is in Kazakhstan at the moment after winning his 89th title in Tel Aviv.

Djokovic’s fans speak against ATP after Carlos Alcaraz Garfia and Rafael Nadal clinch the top 2 ranks 

Novak Djokovic is currently the world no.7 at the moment and updated rankings show Carlos Alcaraz in the top spot and Rafael Nadal in the second. This has drawn a lot of criticism from Djokovic’s fans as they feel wronged and blame ATP for its faulty ranking system.

Carlos Alcaraz shared a tweet with Rafael Nadal where he stated, “Two Spaniards at the top of the ranking! Proud to share this historic moment with @Rafael Nadal, the best player of all time! Come on!”

One fan of Djokovic tweeted, “Ranking system failed. And he’s not the best player ever. I know you’re Spanish, but cut the euphoria, please.”

Furthermore, one fan corrected Alcaraz in a sarcastic manner and stated, “Honey that’s not novak.”

Another Nole fan took a dig at ATP who also shared the ranking of the two players. It stated, “Ok, shall we talk about statistics? Or should we talk about kindness, intellect, and humanity? Ok, for these I only have this one name: @DjokerNole The best!!”

Yet another fan criticized ATP for not being fair. It stated, “Nope. Lol. You can fake the numbers all you want but we know the truth. The real world #1 is the GOAT and still the best player in the world today. Say his name kurvice: Novak Djokovic. #Djokovic PS Your corruption can’t stop him.”

Fans back Novak Djokovic and reject ATP’s ranking system

ATP had stripped ranking points off Wimbledon, and this led to a huge drop in the ranking points of Novak Djokovic despite winning the Championships for the fourth consecutive time. Eventually, he lost his top ranking as well.

Moreover, he could not participate in the Australian Open and the US Open, among other ATP tournaments because of his vaccination status. Such aspects have angered his fans, who feel that the ranking system is not just and rejects the present rankings.

A fan stated, “World #1? Where? I don’t see Novak,” while taking a dig at ATP.

One fan condemned ATP and tweeted, “Your ranking is biased and everybody know this.”

Yet another fan stated similar thoughts on Djokovic losing points because of Wimbledon being stripped off of its ranking points. It tweeted, “These Guys wont be here if nole didnt lost 4000 point…”

Djokovic went viral for his flying shot at Tel Aviv, and many fans also vouched for it to become the new ATP logo. Mentioning that picture, one fan tweeted, “Air Novak is GOAT.” Novak Djokovic is in Kazakhstan at the moment. He is focused on getting his top ranking back by winning as many ATP tour titles as he can.
