After his success at Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios was feeling strong in terms of his body and his level of confidence. The Australian was considered as one of the top favorites to win the US Open in 2022. And with Novak Djokovic not being part of the competition, the expectation from the fans was pretty high.

However, things didn’t really pan out for him as expected. Karen Khachanov of Russia defeated the Australian in the quarterfinals of the US Open 2022. Nick Kyrgios went down to the Russian with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7 (3), 6-4 at Flushing Meadows. Earlier, he was seen posting a beautiful heartfelt message to his girlfriend on Instagram.
