Federer lost the final professional match of his tennis career yesterday with Rafael Nadal at Laver Cup 2022. Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe of Team World defeated the Federer-Rafa (Team Europe) duo with a score of 4-6, 7-6 (2), 11-9.

“We’ll get through this somehow. It’s been a wonderful day. I told the guys, ‘I’m happy. I’m not sad. It feels great to be here, and I enjoyed tying my shoes one more time. Everything was the last time.” he said in his farewell speech.
