The Italian tennis star, Jannik Sinner, had a breakthrough in the men’s circuit, a few seasons back, after clinching the Next Gen ATP Finals title. Since then, the world no.8 has outclassed some high-caliber players. The 21-year-old player’s stellar prowess was also fairly evident during his incredible run at this year’s Wimbledon, where he reached the semifinal round.

Notably, many prominent figures in the tennis community have been quite impressed with his “explosive firepower” on the court. The list also includes Serena Williams’ former coach, who recently issued a bold prediction about Sinner while revealing how he sits beside the likes of Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.

On his online platforms, the legendary American coach, Rick Macci has occasionally given his assessment of many young tennis stars. Recently, it was the Italian prodigy, Jannik Sinner, who caught the attention of the seven-time USPTA national coach.

Notably, the 68-year-old recently took to his Twitter account to lavish praise on the 21-year-old player’s on-court prowess. Macci said, “@JannikSinner has clean liquid explosive firepower off both wings and the quality of his consistency to pepper those spicy Italian breadsticks corner to corner will make him one of the real favorites at the U.S. OPEN.”

Ahead of the Grand Slam event in New York, the American has already placed his bet on the young tennis star. Macci has hailed Sinner as one of the “real” favorites, alongside the currently ranked top two players, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.

Prior to the start of the British Slam, Macci was all praises for the young Italian tennis star. In his previous Tweet, Macci asserted that the 21-year-old was the favorite, alongside Djokovic, to win the Wimbledon title this season.

In the process, the renowned tennis coach also brought to light the ATP player’s brilliant “grass moves” while hailing him as a “very good” player on the same surface. Coincidentally, Djokovic and Sinner squared off in the semifinal round of the tournament with the former prevailing in a three-set match.
