Throughout his stellar journey, Nadal has always impressed a plethora of fans with his great level of consistency on the ATP tour. However, even the greatest athletes struggle with poor form.

Notably, the French Open champion is also struggling as he is going through one of his worst losing streaks on the tour. Surprisingly, most of the defeats during this losing streak, have come against American tennis players on the ATP tour. As a result, many fans have concocted their own ‘American Supremacy’ theory behind the Spaniard’s second-worst losing streak on the tour.

Fans react to Rafael Nadal as he equaled his second-worst losing streak

The Spanish tennis player has recently participated in the Nitto ATP Finals. However, he is struggling at the tournament in Turin as he was defeated in install group stage matches. Nadal was recently defeated by the Canadian tennis player, Auger-Aliassime during the group stage match of the tournament. In doing so, the French Open champion, with his poor run, has equaled his second-worst losing streak on the tour.

Prior to this, the former world No. 1 tennis player, was also defeated by the American tennis star, Taylor Fritz in the same tournament. However, Fritz isn’t the only American tennis player who has defeated Nadal during his second-worst losing streak. Another American, Tommy Paul defeated the Spaniard in the Paris Masters. Prior to Paul’s victory over Nadal, the American youngster, Frances Tiafoe also defeated the world No. 2 player during the US Open.

Nadal’s recent performances

After his poor start to the Nitto ATP Finals, the world No. 2 tennis player will try to regain his form in another group match of the event. Rafael Nadal will now play against the Norwegian tennis star, Casper Ruud in a thrilling match-up of the tournament in Turin. Prior to the ATP Finals, the Spaniard also participated in the Paris Masters.

However, despite his decent performance, Nadal was defeated by the American tennis star, Tommy Paul. Even after being in a poor form for long, fans are excited to see Nadal’s dominating performances on the court.
