Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is back in Australia. After humiliating deportation, Djokovic is breathing fire and looks in tremendous form. The 35-year-old is currently participating in the Adelaide International. While the Serb has done well so far and clinched the first two matches, fans still can’t forget what happened last year.

Last year, Novak Djokovic had to sit out of the Australian Open because of the vaccination rule. The 35-year-old openly admitted that he is not going to take the covid-19 vaccine, which was compulsory for travelers to enter Australia.

One year has passed, and the restriction is no longer in place. Djokovic is all set to return to the Australian Open now. While the most successful player in Australian Open returned, the fans are celebrating one year of his deportation saga with a hilarious Reddit thread.

It starts with a fake courtroom drama where Djokovic defends his case. While the drama in itself is hilarious, the way fans reacted to it is even more funny. Here’s how they reacted.

And he looks as strong as always before entering the Australian Open. The Serb has already made it to the quarterfinal of Adelaide International. Up next he will face Canadian tennis star Denis Shapovalov.

While the Australian government lifted travel restrictions, it is still in place in the US. This means that Djokovic might miss the US leg again this year.

Djokovic to miss Indian Wells

The US government has extended the COVID-19 guidelines for travelers in the country till April 10th. For foreign nationals to enter America, they should be fully vaccinated with double doses of covid-19 vaccine. However, since Djokovic has publically refused to take the jab, he will miss the Indian Wells this year as well.

Although it is not sure if the rules will continue further if it does, the 21-time Grand Slam champion might miss out on the full US leg including the US Open.
