Historically speaking, sports have always had more men in the audience or watching from behind TV screens. Fast forward to the 21st century and women are more involved than ever. But what about the mentality of those watching the game from the stands? Well, that still remains a big question mark. Recently, Morgan Riddle shared her ‘scary’ experience at the Super Bowl LVIII during the match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas.

Described as ‘the most famous woman in men’s tennis,‘ Morgan Riddle was there to support the Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium but had to spend the third quarter in the bathroom. Going through a frightening experience that she detailed on social media, sports lovers reacted to the incident with plenty of supportive messages.

Morgan Riddle posted a few Instagram stories early Monday morning recalling the situation she had faced while attending the match between the Chiefs and the 49ers. She couldn’t believe the levels of harassment she and her friends had to deal with this weekend.

Although her stories have brought in plenty of supportive messages, several others have also now got the courage to share their horrifying experiences while attending NFL games. One of them wrote, “I went to the SuperBowl at ages and 15 and I wanted to enjoy it. But I felt so uncomfortable it was sad. Sports need female fans but literally refuse to make room or change behavior.

While the others called it “deeply upsetting” seeing her fun experience get ruined this way. This incident perhaps might now bring several questions to the minds of all female sports lovers who wish to experience this beautiful game live from the stadiums.

Cleveland-based Voice actor and famous YouTuber, Stefan Johson also commented on Morgan Riddle’s post. He wrote, “Wow, cool photos. Also, I’m glad you bravely shared your experience with harassment at the game. Using your platform to bring attention to the problem is good. And, might help others feel encouraged to speak up or take action.
