Tiafoe also attended an exhibition NBA game between his local Washington Wizards and the Golden State Warriors last year at the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships. The American tennis player engaged in talks with NBA Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum and had interactions with players as well, including Stephen Curry. “I still didn’t really know until I got that email, but once I got that email that ‘You’re going to All-Star’ I was like, ‘This is crazy!’ I feel like it’s a big crossover,” the 26-year-old said, describing his experience.

Earlier this year, the WNBA player Arike Ogunbowale pulled Tiafoe’s legs by revealing that the tennis player always claims if he played in an NBA game, he could score at least 10 points.
