After much controversy last year, Novak Djokovic was denied to play in the US Open. He remained unvaccinated and was denied entry into all American tournaments last year. His stance was firm, and it certainly led to several intense debates, with renowned figures backing the Serbian. This year, however, the US government relaxed its restrictions this year, and he managed to play, much to the delight of his fans on the American continent. Now it turns out that the NFL legend Aaron Rodgers is also a big fan of the Djoker and celebrated his return with a jibe at the decision made last year.

His absence from the 2022 US Open was announced amidst much criticism of the US government’s Covid mandate. The decision made by the government and organizers did not sit well with many players, and they were openly lambasting the act. Now that he is back, the New York Jets star hit a snide remark.

Tennis personalities who bashed Djokovic’s 2022 ban
After the ban was announced, several tennis stars spoke out against it on social media. The wave of support was majorly led by John McEnroe and John Isner, who were outspoken about their disdain for the ban. Tennys Sandgren also joined the growing wave of support while lambasting the embargo at the same time.
Several fans even voiced out their anger, and some fans even protested outside the Arthur Ashe Stadium. All those who opposed the ban can now relax and finally watch their favorite star attempt to win a record-breaking 24the Grand Slam title.
