The defending champions of the tournament are Novak Djokovic and Ashleigh Barty. Djokovic’s presence at the tournament depends on the rules and regulations that Britain will have at that time with respect to a vaccine mandate. Ashleigh Barty, who is sitting out the US hard court swing will also surely be looking to defend her title at what is probably the most prestigious slam of the season.
