Amidst all the congratulatory texts, Frances Tiafoe managed to find a way to banter with Gauff.

Entertainment and banter are always guaranteed with Tiafoe. While replying to the messages, the Big Foe was keeping things simple until he saw Coco Gauff’s story. Tiafoe reposted Gauff’s story and replied, “Can I get my CG ones (CG1s) now?“.

Gauff was congratulating Tiafoe on his top 10 entry and Tiafoe’s reply suggested that he was sarcastically asking the 19-year-old if he has become worthy enough to own a pair of CG1s – the famous New Balance sneakers designed for Coco Gauff. Tiafoe and Gauff go way back and have maintained a strong friendship for quite some time now.
