Big Foe went into the US Open as a favorite of the locals. The Maryland player who recently entered the top 10 has created a lot of expectations from American fans of the sport. So far, Tiafoe has been delivering on it as he eased past his first two opponents.

He faced Sebastian Ofner in the second round and defeated the Austrian player in straight sets with the final score of 6-3, 6-1, 6-4. The match concluded rather quickly as Tiafoe demolished his Austrian foe in 1 hour and 32 minutes.

When asked how he managed to beat Ofner with such speed, he said, “Caroline wanted me to win in straight sets. So I’m happy she gets to come out here & you guys get to watch her play.“

Wozniacki, who then played after him, also beat her opponent. Wozniacki faced Petra Kvitova and beat her in straight sets, her best victory since she came back from retirement.
