Rennae Stubbs speaks about the Rune-Mouratoglou partnership

In her recent podcast, Rennae Stubbs said, “No, I am not coaching him, but if I were, I think that would be a good choice. But anyway, the whole point is he has gone back to Patrick Mouratoglou, so it’s like he feels comfortable with him, I don’t know. It’s a surprise to me. We literally having dinner about talking about this the other night that we didn’t think that’s gonna happen for various reasons. I don’t know why he’s going back, but as I said, result, for sure we’ll see what will happen.”

Rennae Stubbs’s statement expressed a confusing opinion about Rune’s choice to return to his former coach, Patrick Mouratoglou. This partnership helped Rune in 2022 when he won the Paris Masters title. At that tournament, Rune defeated Serbian tennis legend Novak Djokovic. However, after February 2023, Rune had a horrible season, as he had to exit the US Open in the first round. Stubbs questioned Rune’s decision to get back to the same partnership on that basis.

I don’t know who put this out but you’re a bunch of 🤡 to do so with zero proof. My god!”
