Novak Djokovic‘s latest Instagram post regarding ATP’s Best Coach of the Year has garnered support from Romanian tennis star, Andreea Prisacariu. Recently, the ATP awarded the Best Coach of the Year recognition to Italian prodigy Jannik Sinner’s coaches, Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi. While these two talented coaches helped Sinner end the 2023 season with a promising victory, Djokovic’s unbeatable performance at thirty-six was unthinkable for many. However, that didn’t help Djokovic’s coach, Goran Ivanisevic at all.

Djokovic not only finished this season as the world’s number one but won three Grand Slams. It surely has been quite frustrating for him to see his coach not receiving the award despite his outstanding performance. However, Prisacariu raised her support for Djokovic’s recent courageous remark.

While the Serbian tennis god congratulated Sinner’s coaches on his Instagram story the post quickly took a satirical tone, where Djokovic expressed grief over his coach’s loss. Not just that but Djokovic also brought the reference to Sinner’s coaches’ acknowledgment, despite his coach helping him win three Grand Slams. However, Novak Djokovic’s opinion seemed to convince a lot of people from the tennis fraternity.

Recently, Romanian tennis star, Andreea Prisacariu tweeted supporting Djokovic’s comment. She wrote- “This is why he is unique. The way he is not afraid to say the obvious facts. The way he communicates with us, his comunity of people that love and support him. This is why he is the best of the best. Because he says and does things that no one else would even dare.”

Prsacariu’s comments show that Djokovic’s coach truly deserved this recognition this year.
