In December 2023, British tennis star Katie Boulter joined hands with Lexus, a luxury vehicle division of the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation, which shares a long-time connection with the racket sport. In fact, it has been present for several years at mega tennis events like the Davis Cup Finals and the Conde de Godo Trophy. Highlighting this partnership with Boulter in 2023, Chris Hayes, Director of Lexus, said, “We’re looking forward to supporting Katie as she continues to develop her tennis career.“ Even Boulter looked quite excited with this partnership as she said, “As a professional tennis player, I am constantly pushing boundaries and striving for excellence, and I see these same values reflected in Lexus’s commitment to innovation and performance.“ After that, there have been several instances where the Brit has been seen doing promotions for them, and recently, one such commercial drew a cheeky reaction from her beau, Alex de Minaur.
Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur started dating each other in March 2020, and last year on December 23, the couple announced their engagement through a social media post. Talking about her incredible journey, Boulter once said, “Anyone who has watched our journey has seen us grow together on the court and off the court.“ They’re often found showcasing their love and support for each other through their social media posts. Boulter was even present in the stands to support de Minaur in some of his matches during the Madrid Open.
Before her departure, the couple even spent some quality time together in the Spanish capital, and Boulter even shared glimpses of their excursion on IG with the caption, “Me gusta mucho Madrid (I like Madrid a lot).” Alex de Minaur recently got knocked out of the Madrid Open at the hands of Lorenzo Musetti, while Boulter is busy preparing herself for the 2025 Italian Open. Amid all these, she got a chance to shoot a commercial with Lexus. The Lexus UK even shared a glimpse of that on their IG handle with the caption, “Step inside the Lexus LM with Katie Boulter. Designed for rest and relaxation.” After seeing this post, Alex de Minaur commented, “You can drive me now in your new ride, I’ll be back seat bandit 😂“

Last year in April, Boulter posted a similar commercial ad, and at that time, she captioned her FB post with, “Fun day with the @lexusuk team seeing if my coaching skills are up to scratch 🙈 PLUS got to take my Rz home 🏡 🚗 @lexusuk.”
Interesting Fact: Katie Boulter’s net worth is estimated to be around $2 million as of 2024, and her primary income sources include her prize money from tennis and her endorsement deals. Boulter’s overall prize money is around $3,322,955 (as of now). She has endorsement deals with Wilson, Nike, and a few other renowned brands.
Interestingly, Boulter’s commercial ad comes days after Lexus Spain announced Paula Badosa as its new brand ambassador. Tennis players’ fascination with luxury cars is well known, but did you know Alex de Minaur has a passion for vintage cars?

Alex de Minaur describes himself as a car fanatic
The Aussie tennis star, Alex de Minaur, owns a 1973 Mini 850 Deluxe. If we talk about its special design, well, from the outside, its alluring evergreen coating and compact shape look quite stunning. Talking about his love for transforming the vintage car into a new-looking beast, De Minaur once said, “I got it basically broken down and restored the inside. It’s one of the most fun cars to drive.”
What is his experience of driving this car? “I enjoy driving it as much as I can. And it always puts a smile on my face. It is just iconic. Obviously, no air conditioning, no radio, no stereo. At the moment, I have a wireless Bluetooth speaker, which I’ve got in the backseat. And that’s how I get my music,” he said in an interview with TENNIS.com in 2021.

Talking about his passion for cars, once during an interview, he was asked if there was any topic he’d like to talk about more often in interviews. In reply to that question, de Minaur said, “If I relate it to other passions and interests in my life, I end up with golf and classic cars. I myself have a traditional green Mini Cooper and that’s my baby.” When asked what he would like to spend more time on, he stated that apart from his interests in watches, he also finds classic cars very fascinating. So, he would prefer to gain more technical knowledge about it.
Even last year during the AO, Alex de Minaur couldn’t help but reflect his love for his car. During an interview, Jim Courier had asked him to talk a bit about his old Mini. Replying to Courier’s curiosity, de Minaur said, “Look at that. That’s just beautiful, isn’t it 😂. That’s my 1973 Mini. It just turned 50 years old last December. We had a big party for it. That’s my daily drive right there. The whole fun of it is not knowing if it’s gonna start every morning. I’ve enjoyed being stuck in the middle of the road a couple of times. But it’s still my baby & I love it.” Have you ever seen any other tennis star so fascinated by vintage cars, though?
