Recently, Stefanos Tsitsipas hasn’t had the best of runs in the tournaments. He has suffered many disappointing defeats early in the tournament. As a result, his displays haven’t gone down well with fans, who have criticized Badosa for Tsitsipas’ poor form.

Nonetheless, the Greek star is flying high in Paris. He has had a resounding win over Canada’s Felix, who was in great form lately. In a match lasting just under two hours, he took down his Canadian opponent in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 (4).

Last month, Tsitsipas also achieved a big win with his brother. Subsequently, he credited Badosa for his success.

Paula Badosa had a big role to play in Stefanos Tsitsipas’ win

Tsitsipas and his brother, Petros, won the doubles title in Antwerp. During that tournament, Badosa played the role of a coach for the two brothers.

Talking about it, Tsitsipas said, “Winning our first doubles title together meant so much for me, for him, for my parents that were there, for Paula who is our doubles coach. Not a lot of people know that, but she was the first person to spend 3 or 4 hours with us at the US Open, coaching us for the doubles.. she was there along the way, preparing us for these kind of matches & being present.”
