Andy Murray picked Serena Williams as his GOAT

During a question-and-answer session on Instagram, a fan asked Murray, “Who is the GOAT in your opinion?”

In reply, Murray gave a straightforward answer, as he said, “Serena.”

It is worth noting that Murray has been a great admirer of Serena. Also, he played doubles with the American at the 2019 Wimbledon. Although they did not win the tournament, it was a surreal moment for the fans to watch them play mixed doubles at a Grand Slam event.

After winning their first and second-round matches, they lost in the third round to Bruno Soares and Nicole Melichar. 

Murray and Williams are getting ready for Wimbledon

This time around, both Murray and Williams are concentrating on their singles events and may not play mixed doubles. The 2-time Wimbledon champion recently suffered an injury setback at the Stuttgart Open during his match against Matteo Berrettini. Despite such setbacks, he feels confident of his participation in Wimbledon.

Meanwhile, Serena had a pretty great start in her warm-up match at the Eastbourne International. Playing doubles for the very first time with Ons Jabeur, the American-Tunisian pair were victorious against Sara Sorribes Tormo and Marie Bouzková.
