Andy Murray takes a hilarious dig at a marathon set

Earlier today, the WTA Elite Trophy action commenced in China. Players such as Madison Keys and Jelena Ostapenko featured in this tournament. In one of the ties, the fifth seed, Veronika Kudermetova was up against the local star, Zhu Lin. Although Kudermetova was expected to have an easy outing against Lin, the first set went right to the distance. It lasted for nearly an hour and a half as the Russian star eventually won it in the tie-breaker 7-6 (5).

Their marathon first set caught the attention of the tennis world on social media. Tennis commentator, Jose Morgado, even reposted the snapshot of it on his official Twitter handle with the caption reading, “Andy Murray is that you?” However, Andy Murry has a better comeback.

Hiddleston, who is a fan of Andy Murray, feels the pain of watching him play marathon encounters with a metal hip. During an interview earlier this year, he voiced his concern on the same.

Talking about this, he said,  “Andy Murray, five-sets. Four in the morning, a metal hip. It was absolutely grueling and I thought I’d lost several years of my life just from the anxiety of watching him.” However,  Andy Murray seems to enjoy these comments.
