The former Czech-American tennis star Martina Navratilova is among the most active tennis analysts on social media. Apart from her usual job of analyzing the game and understanding the shortcomings and strengths, she also is close to players. As a former tennis star, she also understands the emotions that tennis players go through.

Recently, the 65-year-old reacted to Nadal’s comment on Federer’s retirement. While the legend resonated with similar feelings to that of Nadal, fans don’t think she belongs in the group. Here’s what happened.
Fans don’t accept Navratilova in the league of Nadal and Federer
When Nadal said a part of his life left when Federer retired, Navratilova replied, “I hear you Rafa…”
While we can understand that the former world number one has similar emotions as she has gone through the same in her playing days. The 65-year-old also had to deal with the retirement of her arch-rival Chris Evert. The two ladies also shared a good bond, just like Nadal and Federer.

However, her Tweet was something fans perceived as an attempt from Navratilova to get into the nice people group of Nadal and Federer. However, fans disapprove of Navratilova’s candidature in the league as they believe she doesn’t belong with them.
Further, one of the fans also reminded her of the group of tennis players she belongs to. Here’s what he tweeted.
“Martina, you are not part of that group, you are more related to Lendl and Kyrigos… sorry.”
The 18-time Grand Slam champion was certainly taken aback by the user’s tweet, as she replied, “Huh?!? Are you really this thick? Lol…”
Navratilova has time and again engaged in heated debates with fans on Twitter. In particular, Djokovic fans believe she doesn’t like the Serb and they always come hard on her.
When Martina Navratilova disapproved of Djokovic’s claim
In an interview, a few months ago, Djokovic spoke about his rivalry with Rafael Nadal. The 35-year-old said that Nadal is the toughest opponent he has played against and they have a great rivalry. Further, the Serb claimed that they must have played the most number of matches against each other.

However, Navratilova, who has the record for the most matches against one opponent, i.e. Chris Evert (80) was not happy with the claim. She was quick to remind the 21-time Grand Slam champion of his mistake. Reacting to the news, she tweeted only one word, “oops.” This again prompted a plethora of fans to go against Navratilova. Later, Navratilova’s former rival and good friend Chris Evert also came in support of Navratilova. She said there was nothing wrong with what Navratilova said.
