There will already be five tournaments that will be running simultaneously at Melbourne Park before the Australian Open 2021. These include the ATP Cup 2021, two WTA 500 tournaments, and two ATP 250 events. The two WTA 500 tournaments are the Gippsland Trophy and Yarra Valley Classic, while that for men are the Great Ocean Road Open and the Murray River Open.
These are not the only ones, as there is another WTA 500 tournament on schedule after the Grand Slam in Australia. To ease the load on Melbourne Park, Brisbane is likely to host the WTA 500 tournament which will be taking place after the Australian Open. The event will begin instantly after the Grand Slam from February 22.
