While Rosewall and King didn’t directly face off against each other on the court, their victories at the Gunze World Tennis tournament in 1977 were epic for their fans. Now, after decades, King met her colleague, and it felt like time had never really passed between these two tennis stalwarts.

Billie Jean King shared her good vibes after meeting friend and colleague Ken Rosewall

In her official Instagram profile, King gave a glimpse of her meeting Rosewall to her fans. Adding a photo with the Australian tennis legend, King wrote- “It was so good to see Ken Roswell. We spent a couple of years together in the late 1960s as part of the National Tennis League as contract pros.” Billie Jean King’s happiness after meeting her old friend was quite visible as she was spotted with a big smile in the picture.

King further mentioned Rosewall’s tennis legacy. She also added- “Did you know that Ken is both the Australian Open’s youngest men’s singles champion (18 years, 2 months, 1953) and the oldest men’s singles champion (37 years, 2 months, 1972)?” This helped fans to understand that King admired the incredible record of Ken Rosewall in professional tennis. It was to such an extent that she willingly shared her colleague’s unbelievable moments in singles tennis.

Billie Jean King’s true admiration for colleague Ken Rosewall was expressed when she ended her post by saying-“One of the all-time greats!” After this comment, King’s fans understood the lovely bond between the two famous tennis legends.
