Billionaire Roger Federer’s James Bond-Esque New York Outing With Mirka Finds an Inspiring $10 Billion Connection With British Tennis Beauty Emma Raducanu

At 20 years old, Briton Emma Raducanu is one of the most promising talents in the WTA Tour. At the other end of the age spectrum, there’s 41-year-old Swiss maestro Roger Federer, who called time on a glittering 25-year professional tennis career in 2022. You’d think the two have nothing to do with each other apart from their association with professional tennis.

However, as surprising as it may seem, the two are connected via a European multinational luxury fashion brand. While the Swiss maestro marked another milestone for the iconic brand in the recently-concluded 2023 Met Gala, Raducanu became its ambassador 2 years ago.

Dior, the brand that connects Emma Raducanu and Roger Federer

The 2023 Met Gala was a success through and through. Much of that success was down to 20-time Grand Slam winner Roger Federer. Not only did he do a fabulous job at co-chairing the event, but he also caught the eye of the paparazzi, who couldn’t get enough of the legend looking the part in his dashing Dior tuxedo.

For Emma Raducanu, her daring deal with Dior came in 2021, when she was only 18 years old. It came on the back of her spectacular US Open win. The deal also made her the ambassador for two of the fashion house’s most profitable product lines. Raducanu’s first experience of wearing a Dior dress came at the London premiere of No Time to Die, a Bond film.

Currently,  the current World No. 85 in women’s singles tennis is recovering from a wrist surgery that will see her miss out on the 2023 French Open and Wimbledon Championships. However, fans can still keep their eyes peeled for any new endeavors with Dior that Raducanu might take up soon.

Meanwhile, Federer’s stylish Dior tuxedo that he wore at the Met Gala this year paid homage to a legendary designer.

Federer’s Dior tuxedo honors Karl Lagerfeld

The 2023 Met Gala was all about paying homage to Karl Lagerfeld. He was an exceptional designer whose incredible ideas made quite an impressive impact on the house of Chanel. As a co-chair, Federer felt it was his duty to honor the late, great designer, and so he did.

The Swiss tennis icon’s Dior tuxedo featured sketches designed by Kim Jones. The sketches, which were on the inside of Federer’s jacket, were done based on Lagerfeld’s creative preferences.
